Erin Hendriks is a board-certified family physician with a passion for helping patients create a strong foundation of health. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan followed by her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine, graduating with high distinction and receiving the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation from the American Medical Women’s Association. She attended residency at the Mount Sinai Downtown Residency in Urban Family Medicine.
After residency, she pursued additional training completing fellowships in both reproductive health and integrative medicine. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine, and is an Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. She is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians where she serves on a national commission.
As a functional medicine practitioner, Dr. Hendriks believes in Salvo Health’s model of care, Whole Self Science, and the transformative power of comprehensive care, in particular for people living with chronic gut conditions. Her experience and expertise makes her keenly aware of how often gut health impacts women’s health.
