But how much fiber should we eat? The USDA’s Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends the amount you need may differ.
Getting your fiber from food is preferred, but a fiber supplement may be recommended if you’re on a restricted diet or cannot meet your fiber needs with food. It’s best to check in with your physician or registered dietitian before starting any kind of fiber supplement.
