are

There are tons of apps you can download to track your fluids. Here’s a few free apps curated by your Salvo team to consider using:

If you have an Apple Watch or Fitbit, you may choose to track your fluid intake with those wearable platforms. Or, if you already use food-tracking apps such as MyFitnessPal or Chronometer, you may prefer to keep your hydration tracking in one place.

If you prefer not to use an app, here are some other helpful tips when aiming to work on staying hydrated:

  • Use a mug or tumbler and know how many ounces it holds
    • For example, using a 12-ounce tumbler to hold your beverages
  • Count how many times you need to fill that mug or tumbler in order to meet your daily fluid goal and keep a tally
    • For example, if I’m aiming to meet 64 ounces of fluid per day, I’ll need to drink four 12 oz tumblers a day to meet that goal
  • At the end of the day, determine whether you met your goal of drinking as many tumblers of fluid as you needed per day to meet your goal
    • Did you drink four tumblers? If not, what barriers did you face to meeting your goal? And what can you do to overcome those barriers?
