If you like having food tracking capabilities at your fingertips, look no further than your smartphone for tracking what you eat and drink.

There are tons of apps you can download to track your meals. Here are a few free apps curated by your Salvo Health team to consider using:

If you would rather not use an app, here are some other helpful tips when keeping a food journal. Note: we have a template to help you get started!

  • Grab a notebook where you can keep all of the details in one place
  • Note the followingsome text
    • Date
    • Meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner, or snack)
    • Time of meal
    • Specific details of the meal (food, condiments, spices, beverages had)
    • How you felt after eating - are you trying to determine the cause of symptoms, or keep track of how you felt on an emotional level after eating?

Using a food journal at least most days of the week has been shown to help patients achieve their goals!
